Brooklyn has a bunch of old fashioned businesses that still survive, like the knife sharpener that drives around in a truck with a bell, just like the ice cream man. This seltzer and soda truck is often parked in front of our house in the mornings, with bottles piled high.

We've been cat sitting for Matt and Emma's two cats while they're away. Sebastian and I have become good friends, despite my allergies, and he even meows after each of my sneezes.
Off to the New Pornographers show at Battery Park now and then rooftop fireworks viewing on the LES. Happy Fourth.

I never really loved Hoboken when I lived there, but that place has some amazing sunsets. Shot this from Jen's window this evening... while we drank (very) cheap wine, ate Thai take-out for dinner and kept her company as she avoided packing for her big move to Snow Country. I'm going to miss having her nearby.
