I shot over 1,000 photos on the trip, but the ones from La Boca, a neighborhood in Buenos Aires, are definitely some of the most fun.
Just like our hood in Brooklyn,
La Boca has a huge Italian influence. It's definitely not the safest of neighborhoods -- we had warnings from both the guidebook and our taxi driver not to leave this one little area. That results in a tourist trap full of tables selling cheap crap and restaurants with over-priced food. So we mostly just shot the photos, bought a scarf for Tim and left.
On Caminito, the main pedestrian street, the buildings are painted bright colors. The tradition is left over from a time when people would decorate their homes with left-over boat paint. The sun came out just in time to make the colors really pop.
